CMS is imposing a nationwide moratorium on the initial Medicare enrollment of many new fee-for-service DMEPOS suppliers.

In a Notice to be published in the Federal Register on February 27, 2026, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is imposing a nationwide (including all states, territories and the District of Columbia) moratorium on the initial Medicare enrollment of many new fee-for-service durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) suppliers....
