Born From Experience
WebScouter started from a question that a vendor spreadsheet can't answer: if one of these providers goes down, what else goes with it?
Mapping one small product's stack turned up things nobody had written down. Cloudflare handled file storage, signup CAPTCHA and scheduled jobs: three functions, added at three different times, that would all fail together. The database provider also ran auth, storage and realtime, with no fallback.
A vendor list doesn't show any of that. Each vendor relies on its own subprocessors and infrastructure, and those layers overlap far more than the list suggests. So we built the map.
