CMS announces a nationwide Medicare enrollment ban on DMEPOS medical supply companies due to unspecified reasons.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the imposition of a six-month nationwide moratorium on Medicare enrollment of Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS) medical supply companies (Moratorium). The Moratorium is scheduled to take effect upon publication of the agency’s notice in the Federal Register, which is expected to occur tomorrow, February 27, 2026.... By: DLA Piper
